Rachel invited me to her dinner party on January 4. January 18 and 25 are movie nights at Monica’s. If all goes well, I will have my apartment renovated by early February. In that case, I can celebrate my birthday at home on February 16.

Back when I lived in Berlin, there was this one stray dog in my neighborhood. We called him Raptor. Why Raptor, you’re probably wondering. Well, Raptor had the nasty habit of sneaking up on you and taking a running jump on your back just when you were inattentive. Just like the velociraptors in Jurassic Park! My neighbor, Mrs. Weber, once got so scared that she had a panic attack. One day I was attacked at my front door by a hooded man who tried to steal my wallet. Then Raptor came out of nowhere and threw the man to the ground! I was able to break free and called the police. After that, Raptor never had to go hungry again!
